@94Hurstie Um maybe you should remember the way Uruguay treated Australia in the previous World Cup qualifiers, the Socceroos were spat on at the airport, Uruguay supporters banged pots and pans outside their hotel the night before the qualifier in Uruguay. We value fair play in Australia but Uruguay deserved to be booed after all the shit put on us.

Great moment in Australian history but I thought it was a low blow to say 'shit flag' and i also thought it wasn't good form to boo the Uruguay national anthem. I am an Australian by the way. Still awesome that we beat them though and made the world cup.

@secondpost Your socceroos beat a Uruguayan newssman because of a campaign made by an Australian reporter expelled from the conference by the police for harassing the players when he was kindly asked to quit but didn't.

He later published an article trashing Uruguay and started a campaign to bash us, calling it a dictatorship and calling us savages, then Soceroo fans brutally hit a Uruguayan reporter so my people spat on them

@latinoloco29 their fans spat on our players at the airport, kept them awake at night before the game and booed our anthem in Uruguay. I was at the stadium in Sydney for this game and booed as loud as I could, and would do it again without hesitation. We weren't booing their players, or their country, but that was a boo at their lack of sportsmanship.
