you gonna wake a dog up eh? lol kinda cool, like the riff, I wanna start playing blues in a band but I just lack inspiration, there's too many 1-4-5's in blues... has anyone done anything different?

Well 1 4 5 defines the blues but there are variations.

"Stormy Monday Blues" has a real nice change with ninth chords and minor sevenths in a run.

Jazz composers run the circle of fifths instead of just going to the five. Check out "Straight No Chaser" for an example.

And then there's a bunch of Blues, Like my "Road Song", that just hang on the one chord.

It's harder to write a good Blues lyric than most people think. I think I nailed this one. The story, the setting, the feel.
