Slow flying in the backyard with an E-Flite Blade mSR electric R/C helicopter. The helicopter has not been modified in any way. It is straight out of the box using the included battery. I use a Spektrum Dx7 transmitter for my models. I am running the helicopter in the advanced mode on the outer ball links. There is an easier beginner mode using the inner ball links and reduced servo throws (dual rates). This is a fantastic flying micro model helicopter. I fly it inside and outside the house and at local parks.

  • great video ***** and yes, I am now addicted to these little rockets of joy LOL.

  • @HAYUPAKARINGID Well now you need the Blade 120 SR. I just got mine and it's even better than the mSR. Much easier to keep forward flight going. You don't have to fight the inherent stability quite so much. But they're both fun!

  • Hey Nwrcflight what cam did you use to shoot this? Real nice stuff

  • It's an old Sony Handycam Digital 8.

  • It looks like so much fun! Though I have heard its tricky to set up. Is that right? I'd like to get one for Christmas.

  • It is not tricky to set up at all. Take it out of the box, charge the batteries (it comes with two). Then you turn on the transmitter, plug the battery into the heli and wait a few seconds until they recognize each other (it's called binding) and you're ready to go. Once the heli is bound to the transmitter you never need to worry about interference from other devices.

  • I think they all sound that way. Mine seems to be a bit quieter now but it still buzzes when it's working.

  • Your tail rotor sounds like mine.

  • It's not a coax! I have the mCX and it's a totally different heli. The mSR is way closer to your Blade in how it looks in flight. It has some quirks and flies somewhat differently than the Blade 400 but I'm very happy with it. I've actually ordered a second one (and a red canopy) so I can set it up on my Dx6i and let my friends fly one while I fly the other. It's killing me to let them fly mine and just watch! Of course the goal is for them to buy their own!

  • I have mine set up on the out ball links on the swash plate and high rates on the transmitter. That is how I've handed it over to the beginners to so that has been the cause of some of the crashes. It's a little hot for them. The mSR has four possible settings. Inner ball links, low rates, high rates and outer ball links low rates and high rates. Fly it in a gym on the outer ball links and high rates and you'll have your hands full.
