"The basis of our political systems is the right of the people to make and to alter their Constitutions of Government. But the Constitution which at any time exists, 'til changed by an explicit and authentic act of the WHOLE PEOPLE, [emphasis added] is sacredly obligatory upon all."—George Washington, "Farewell Address"

"Constitutions should consist only of general provisions; the reason is that they must necessarily be PERMANENT,[Emphasis added] and that they cannot calculate for the possible change of things." Alexander Hamilton

You idiot, Madison was shooting down that idea there and is just stating he opposing argument to destroy it by showing who ridiculous it is, and he's not even talking about the Constitution itself, but of debts, which he states can be carried over form one generation to the next. Do I need use a dozen of more posts to print the entire piece to show you the dishonest quote miner you are?

England never "owned" the country you dip. You have no concept of contractual law. They only lorded over the people by use of force. People are only ruled by agreement and consent. Copy and paste me some more shit.

... and other impediments arise, so as to prove to every practical man, that a law of limited duration is much more manageable than one which needs a repeal." --Thomas Jefferson to James Madison, 1789. ME 7:459, Papers 15:396.

It might be, indeed, if every form of government were so perfectly contrived, that the will of the majority could always be obtained, fairly and without impediment. But this is true of no form. The people cannot assemble themselves; their representation is unequal and vicious. Various checks are opposed to every legislative proposition. Factions get possession of the public councils, bribery corrupts them, personal interests lead them astray from the general interests of their constituents;. 2/3

"Every constitution, then, and every law, naturally expires at the end of nineteen years. If it be enforced longer, it is an act of force, and not of right. It may be said, that the succeeding generation exercising, in fact, the power of repeal, this leaves them as free as if the constitution or law had been expressly limited to nineteen years only. In the first place, this objection admits the right, in proposing an equivalent. But the power of repeal is not an equivalent. ... 1/2

LOL what an idiot you are, if that were true than we would have to give he country back to England after the first generation after the revolution.

    Geeze you are an idiot.

"The Constitution requires an adoption in toto, AND FOR EVER. [emphasis added] It has been so adopted by the other States. An adoption for a limited time would be as defective as an adoption of some of the articles only." - Madison

And seeing that no one that made that compact is still alive, no one is bound by it. For it pertained to them and their posterity.
