Switch Communications built the world's highest density data center ever built. 6 data center zones with 47,000 sq feet each or the size of 10 football fields under one roof. Switch turned to Schneider Electric for its implementation in this case study.

  • NERDGAAAAAASM!!!!

  • Sounds like a private internet using Enron pricing methods to me. The babes, bigness, and badges are not fooling me.

  • Future of Network Awesome..none of the VMs going to down ;)

  • Good video thanks! :D

  • @CraZy675 Desert does get cold at night, that could help with thermal dissipation in the evenings.

  • @CraZy675 This is why they built a data center in the desert. Nevada has: No franchise tax No corporate income tax No personal income tax No capital stock tax No stock transfer fee or tax No tax on corporation shares No succession tax No inheritance, estate or gift tax No unitary tax No special intangible tax No chain store tax No admissions tax No inventory tax This far outweighs the additional cooling costs.
  • Unbelievable! Planning 7 MORE!

  • I don't understand why you would build a datacentre in a desert, you would have to suck too much power for cooling. wouldn't Canada make more sense where you have clean hydro power and can cool from outdoor air?

  • i work here, its legit as hell
