This album is to me what jazz is all about. The interpretation by Mile's trumpet, the timbre of his sound, and Gil Evans arrangement.

For me, "Miles Ahead" sets up that same melancholy, misty, mood that Sinatra's "Only The Lonely" does. Like lounging around the fireplace with a nice drink. Space, as we used to call it.
