那是旅遊發展局是用來騙外國人的, 而不是騙自己人的.
香港是大都會不錯, 也有各式各樣國家的餐館, 但不能算是美食之都, 因為大部份都是用來騙騙本地人而已, (當然五星級酒店除外, 但如果每每用五星級酒店來作為美食之都的標準, 那麼很多大城市都堪當此名).
吃一流的菜色, 尤其是大眾化的外國菜色, 還是要自己親自到那個國家去, 而且不要跟團, 旅行團一般都不會吃到什麼好東西. 好像香港的一些有名的泰國菜館, 連一個在泰國街頭最普通的東蔭宮湯都煮不像, 香港中環一家客似雲來的法國餐廳的煎三文魚又腥又貴, 在巴黎吃的話不單便宜三成, 人家煎出來的還是沒有腥味的. 在北京和西安吃涮羊肉, 人家的羊肉是沒有酥味的, 香港吃的卻酥得可以. 另外在廣東省很普遍吃客家魚生, 將皖魚切成半透明的簿片然後拌蒜泥和白醋來吃, 在深廣都可以吃到, 因為這是地道的廣東客家菜. 香港連這個廣東菜都沒有, 只知道有日本魚生, 這樣也能叫美食之都?

離開香港之後,才發現那時樓下餐廳的腸粉好吃、奶茶好喝,連辣椒醬、豆豉的滋味都令人懷念!或許有人吃過米其林幾顆星餐廳的餐點,認為還是自己媽媽做的菜最好吃。好不好吃、是不是美食?是相當主觀的,外國人不欣賞台灣的皮蛋、臭豆腐、豬血湯,我認為那也是在地的美食,出國幾十次,都是懷著感恩的心品嘗各國的食物,不會因為個人喜好不同就批評或抨擊,吃不慣泰國的榴槤就說是臭的、吃不慣澳洲的袋鼠肉就說是腥的、吃不慣巴黎的蝸牛就說是不道地的、吃不慣荷蘭的起士就說是餿掉的...因為這些東西在很多人的心中就是無法取代的美食。去餐廳吃飯會去注意是誰掌廚嗎?去泰國餐廳吃飯就一定是泰國人煮的嗎?在巴黎餐館吃飯,發現廚師不見得就一定是法國人。什麼是好吃?什麼是道地?要吃遍多少國家多少餐廳才能自稱為美食家?能發表中肯的言論?我想活著只是一種態度,歡喜並笑著迎接所有的事物,會比較快樂一點。
