you can do flips if you get the dark wood grain ring, to get it join forest covenant and kill shiva and his bodyguard, the ring is on the body guard. Shiva can be found right near the talking cat(or in blight town under the water wheel), if i recall you have abandoned that covenant and not in the good way so you will have to pay penance to the guy in the bell tower to remove your sins.

theres no point in blocking any of his stuff its way better to dodge he is very easy to dodge.

you have some aversion to healing i just dont understand.

If you just stay behind him he can't even hit you, really. Just be sure to move back a bit when he does his AOE, because it does extend 15-ish feet behind him.

You don't even need the shield, you can get out of the way of his AOE attack. Just retreat when he raises his stick thing.
