this little boy hates puree and only likes to eat real solid food... maybe this is the reason why he is such a happy baby -- because he gets to eat the same food mommy and daddy eats

  • @heleft9941 My baby is 6 months old, and she didn´t want to eat mashed fruit, she cried and did not eat anything at all. I watched the videos today and gave my baby a pieace of pear, banana and peach. she played with the food and enjoyed the moment at all. Didn´t eat almost anything but I was a bit nervous for the choking hazard. any recommendation?

    lol k

  • @Treemeadow I'm not claiming to be "knowledgeable" about it, I simply know it's been around, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know food in general is a chioking hazard. I have no interest in going back & forth w/ this w/ you like children, if you want to nit pick my comments feel free but I guess I struck a nerve or something-we'll have to agree to disagree, if you're this sensitive to the comments & opinions of others my suggestion would be to block all comments to avoid the stress.

  • @Anglynn74

If you knew that, then why would you suggest it's a big time choking hazard? It looks to me like you didn't know anything about Baby-led weaning, and now claimto be quite knowledgeable on the "fad"

  • @Treemeadow I know that, I'm not talking about the method I'm talking about the current adherence to it.

lol, this is OLD. It's been around for much longer than you think. Once upon a time, a child was breastfed until normal solid food was introduced. No purees. This isn't new fangled.

  • @Treemeadow whatever makes you guys happy, thank goodness Im done w/ the baby stuff, but I still surely would not give a child that young whole food like that, I don't buy into all the new fangeled things parents do today-boppys, baby einstein, etc etc, to each his own.

  • @Anglynn74

Research Baby Lead Weaning. They have LESS liklihood of choking than babies who get confused with solids after being able to instantly swallow pureed food.

BLW babies learn how to chew and swallow over a long process starting with simply mouthing the food, to learning how to chew and swallow, and how to stop themselves choking by learning how to gag and spit, simply by being allowed to eat solid, un-pureed food.

  • Did you cook the veggies at all first?

  • @heleft9941 yeah no kidding, and?
