deanyorks, i don't think it's a question of P.C., it's about recognising that a tradition has become offensive and unacceptable in the light of improved education and communication with people all over the world. But in any case, let's not pretend that there isn't an appalling level of casual racism present in Cornwall; and it's only 'harmless' since there are few black people down here to be offended by it- but that doesn't make it right

If you had really spent time talking to the people here you would know that we don't like to be slotted in with the English. We are Cornish; things are different down here. We are 'way out in the westcountry' and will always bear the stigma of ignorant country folk. However I would remind every idiot who gets offended by this day that no harm is intended. It's such a shame that PC insists we must mollycoddle such overly sensitive people's feelings.

Its extremely racist and they know it. No matter how you define the history of this tradition its still plain old fashion racism. To continue this tradition infecting your kids future with the ignorance that should have been buried in the past along with the actors. Shame on them.
