  • @SillyRabbitTrix That revised version you're talking about was an "altered" version of the original recording from 1974, mixed with samples from the 1983 featurette. My guess is that they used this as an advertisement for the featurette. Either way, it is amusing and interesting how similar the two recordings are.

  • Its too bad Merlin didn't get to Ghost of Christmas Past, he's one of the greatest Disney characters of all time. Don't get me wrong I love Jiminy Cricket too, but Merlin is special and rare.

  • I had this on a red audio cassette tape and some of the voicings were different. The scrooge and goofy are exactly the same. But mine has Jiminy Cricket not Merlin. Its like a hybrid of the movie and this recording. It has all these musical numbers though. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

  • @heine71 No, I heard that another version of this record is out there featuring Pinocchio's Blue Fairy as Christmas Past instead of Merlin.

  • Marley, watch out for the first step!

  • @BlueParatroopa Are you refering to Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol?

  • Daisy "Isabelle" Duck is voiced by longtime Hanna-Barbera voice actress (Josie of the Pussycats, Judy Jetson, Penelope Pitstop, etc.) Janet Waldo.

  • Can you find another version that has the Blue Fairy as the Ghost of Christmas Past? I'd like to hear what she sounds like as the Past Ghost.

  • And Mr Toad was Fizzywigs!

  • And to think, Jiminy Cricket would be the Ghost of Christmas Past.

  • Yes! I think it's Merlin playing the Ghost of Christmas Past.

  • @fcernig33 yes

  • hahaha funny

  • I wish Hal Smith was doing Marley/Goofy in this one.

  • So Alan Young already played Scrooge nine years before "Mickey's Christmas Carol" was adapted for the big screen.

  • maybe the same guy who do goofy do Bullwinkle

  • did Wee Willie The Giant play Christmas Present

  • Because changes were made when the movie

    began production

  • how come Jimmney Cricket was not the ghost of christmas past in the story.
