Based on the critically acclaimed best-selling novel by Alice Sebold, and directed by Oscar winner Peter Jackson from a screenplay by Jackson & Fran Walsh & Philippa Boyens, The Lovely Bones centers on a young girl who has been murdered and watches over her family - and her killer - from heaven. She must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to heal. Oscar nominee Mark Wahlberg and Oscar winners Rachel Weisz and Susan Sarandon star along with Stanley Tucci, Michael Imperioli and Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan.

Such an incredible movie and book. Gosh, when the music started playing it just made my heart lurch. It's (to me) a very mystifying song that takes you away to your own world, or maybe even at least to your own Blue Horizon. :)

this movie is at the top of my list. you know the feeling (the scenes) in a dream like you were so happy like almost flying and colorful.. like you keep on running so fast but you can't get there to the place..like you were sinking and then you can't breathe.. and then you wake up. this movie pictured everything in our subconscious (the superego part of our brain)

Damn fine film. I watched it with my girlfriend, it made me think about what I'd do if someone did the same to her. At least, I'd be a monster by love :)

The movie always makes me cry. It reminds me of my cousin who was killed in 2009 , she was only two, I don't remember what happened to the murderer but I believe that if we have souls after we're gone they find peace. If she have found peace I'm glad she did & I know that the murderer will live with the memory of killing her 'till the day he dies! RIP sweetie , i love you!! ;((
