The Hollywood Barn Door in Daytona Beach which was torn down awhile back, before Billie passed away.

She passed away 3 or 4 years ago.

Wow, this is certainly a blast from the past for me. I grew up in Daytona (1968-1980) and came out of the closet in 1975. I cannot count how many times I've seen Billie, Latese Chevron, Candy Jo, Tequila Sunrise and a few others perform at Barn Door, Zodiac Lounge and Damien's Yum Yum Tree. So many wonderful memories! Wish I could find some memorabilia from those days. Thanks SO MUCH for posting this!!!

Miss Billie Boots was a wonderful entertainer and a person she came to ft myeres ,often and packed the house

I remember Billie used to work at the Hollywood Bar in Daytona Beach. It was so fun back then. Also Candy Jo & Latese Chevron work there as well and lived blocks away. Does anyone know what happened to those two. Miss Boots RIP

@lori4him2 Billie was ALL lip-sync. This version was sung by Brenda Lee but it was a much earlier version.

Brenda Lee did "Wrong Ideas" on her New Sunrise album. The version that Miss. Billie does sounds different than Brenda Lee's.

Are you saying that Miss. Billie sang? I'm sure she was lip syncing. Do you know who did the version she used?
