This was one way the recycling was done in the units when Veolia had the contract. Using one of the single pass vehicles, paper would be sent to the bottom compartment and bottles to the top. It's definitely much better using seperate trucks...

Body Make: Superior Pak
Model: 29m Single Pass Raptor
Chassis: Iveco Acco
Council: Warringah Shire
Contractor: Veolia Environmental Services
Collection Type: Bottles & Paper Recycling

  • Do you know any drivers over there that rev the arm like in the states

  • Over here you don't have to because it's all automatic revving on most trucks, ours aren't at idle. Only the FLs really that need it - RLs / ASLs are all auto unless the fuses are played with.

  • how many bins did he hve to pick up lol

  • Enough. Why do you always say "lol"?!?!??! There's nothing funny!

  • hey mitch, its rob the driver of the truck here, good job/vids, and i thought you were just a kid with nothing to do.Just wanted to put my 5c worth regarding some of the comments.

first of all i hve been driving this truck since brand new approx 2004 and it is used 5 days pw,bar any mechanical probs

i take 2 products, paper in the bottom chamber & bottles co-mingle in the top,if u look close enough u can c the divider doing its job....none of the load goes 2 landfill ( part 1 )

  • Nice job Mitch. I drive a split truck for the same company. They're good as it saves time especially in the residential areas as you don't have to go around twice. Keep up the good work. Geo
