    It's amazing how much an electronic technology would one day, due to the required discipline to keep it controlled, have such a profound impact in mathematics and other formal sciences. Predicate calculus, mathematical elegance, Leibniz's dream... All came about due to the programming challenge, and thanks to prof. Dijkstra. R.I.P.

    Amazing discipline so early on. Now elegance is assumed to be the cornerstone of any good proof in physics and other natural sciences even. Thanks for a great video (and double-thanks that the video had subtitles, though I noticed if you only half-look at the subtitles and listen to the speaker's voice, most of the meaning is conveyed).
