www.customspraymods.com. Acrylic vs 2 Pack paint. DIY guide on how to paint at home or in a spray booth. The result is the same but the price and methods are very different. Every painter I spoke to about painting had a different way of doing things so I have just used the methods I know works.
Also how to repair dents and scratches.
I will do an episode on dent repair and how to blend your existing colour soon.

  • you just answered a question for me on another video lol. but... i have a dent on my car. but i dont want to respray the whole panel. would it work just the same? or would it look obvious with the colour differences with the rest of the panel and rest of the car?

  • @Monkriss Hey, no probs. Yeah what spray painters do to avoid this is to only paint over the repair. Spray 3 or 4 coats getting larger with every coat. Try not to paint to the edge of the panel. Then clear the whole panel. In some cases if the repair is at the edge of a door then you will need to blend and clear the adjacent panels. Hope this helps. Ill do a vido on this soon.

  • I use the sundstrom mask, from S.E.A the Pro Respirator Kit. Its $99.00. Store it in the plastic case as the filters are always being used. They will last longer this way.

    Thanks for watching.

  • bad buffing skills dude

  • Where is that paint booth place you were able to hire? Im not too far away from eastern creek, and im looking for a place to spray my car with 2K

  • Great video how much CFM does your spray gun need from the compressor?

  • Iwata LPH400-LVX sorry mean to say

  • Ive been a painter for 31 years and hate HVLP gun !!

I use a LVLP which is awsome !!

Solvent paints 2k acryls ect are being faded out due to VOC laws

Ive been using Standox Standoblue (waterbased) for awhile now and there is no comparison !!

1.5 coats and your done 15 mins from basecoat flash and clearcoat

As for a compressor you want min 3hp 12-14 cfm and 50 litre tank

  • I like the acrylic paint too:) I can really see acrylic taking off in the future especially seeing that auto Spray painters are always complaining which only makes for research into a far superior product. Keep complaining its good for the acrylic products:)

  • @customspraymods thanks for all the fast answers man and I'm sorry for the 20 questions but I'm trying to paint my car myself after a friend spent big bucks for a shitty prep and paint job, don't want to invest in expensive profi tools cuz I won't need them after the spray...maybe the compressor...my gun has a paint debit of 95cc/min at 3bar and uses 75 l/min of air would a 2.5HP max 8bar 206l/min 50 liter compressor hold enough constant pressure? I found the compressor for cheap

  • @c00smeen 2pack is chemical resistant and alot more uv resistant then acrylic.
