Just to add to that its R809. the 800 series denoting BLS. If it was R9 or R209 then it would have been a Paramedic Unit. 9's also have another BLS rescue its R909

Jack were was this man> Looks like a shelter or meal program, but hard to tell? Was he homeless? Did they help him, leave him, or...? Was he drunk? Did they do a good or bad job in your opinion? I am asking all of these mundane questions due to the problems and work I do here regarding homelessness and poverty, lack of healthcare etc.

Yes, he's right in front of a shelter and there are quite a few in the area. He may not have been allowed in because of drunkenness. The second vehicle was the paramedic wagon and they'll probably take him to County Hospital. I didn't stick around to see. They almost always do a good job IMHO.
