  • @Scootertuner1000 too bad i cant use it:(

  • @outdoorsman310 The is still oil going to the engine, because the pump runs all the time. It runs more when you open the throttle. It runs on a mix of revs and throttle.

  • @Scootertuner1000 if you have the throttle closed and your going down a big hill what does it do?i looked at mine and it looks like it runs off the throttle i wish it ran off the rpms even though t is also a tach so it probably does somewhatmore i found some lime green oil in it the reason i dont have it connected is because the guy i got it from said one of the bolts from it broke so i have to run premix

  • @outdoorsman310 I have never heard of anyone's autolube breaking. I have heard people say they break down etc., but in 35+ years of riding have never had one go on me or anyone I know. You can leave it like it is if you are worried. If you do that though you need to check your plug for the right color. It should be biscuit brown. If it is black and oily it is too much oil. If it is white it is overheating. light to dark brown is what it should look like. Test with a new plug.

  • @Scootertuner1000 i just don't know how reliable it is

  • @outdoorsman310 Sounds like a good mix. Really you should reconnect the oil pump though. The oil pump doesn't deliver the same mix rate all through the rev range. When the engine is being ridden hard it delivers more oil and when it is not being ridden so hard, it delivers less. It is, however not in direct proportion to the amount of gas going into the engine, but rather dependent on engine load and throttle opening. Pre-mix is a poor substitute for engines that are meant to be autolube.

  • @Scootertuner1000 1970s ke 250

  • @outdoorsman310 what do you ride?

  • @Scootertuner1000 im running about 32-1 do you thingk thats ok?

  • @Scootertuner1000 the oil also helps cool it
