I have found an amazing program called Neo Scene from Cineform. This neat program captures the footage from my HDV camera into a high quality edit friendly avi file. Not only that when I shoot in 24f mode (24 interlaced frames per second (film frame rate)) it will automatically remove the pulldown and deinterlace the footage into native 24p. Which is a gift from God. I can even convert my already shot 60i (what I shoot football in) files into 24p. I usually save my football videos in a 720p 30P (30 frames per second) setting because that is a native progressive format that most consumer cameras film in. With this I will now be able to shoot some things in 24P! I'm excited lol.

*EDIT* Wow you cant even tell the difference on youtube lol. The source file looks great though.

  • @Yahweigh Actually

    25p = PAL

    30p = NTSC

    24p = Cinema.

  • Unless this is being shot at a much higher frame rate than both, this is pretty pointless to do.

  • @MagnusRulerHardt 24p = PAL 30p = NTSC (Never The Same Colour) xD

  • @MagnusRulerHardt IT is just marketing.

  • I still don't understand why people like a slower frame rate better.

  • funny, but I can't tell which one I like better! They are both great in their own right.

  • @BudgetStudios I stand corrected! good to know

  • @garethbowler The source videos were 24 and 30p, therefore if he dropped the 24p file into a 30p timeline, there are only 24 fps of data even if exported at 30p. this is indeed an accurate comparison.

  • how the hell can this be a framerate comparison in any way shape of form, you'd have had to drop it into your editing timeline as the same framerate project to make the video

  • Did you buy it or get the trial version
