Review of the NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The TMNT figures are great and worth getting.

They had two versions, the color one shown in this video and a black and white one.

They did not make a version with different colored head bands.

  • I have saved up to get a set, and now I am seeing where alot of bootleg sets are rumored to be poping up, so I am nervous..Anyone know where I can get a true set?

  • @inlife9 Thanks for writing :-) I didn't know bootleg TMNT sets existed. I'd say look on ebay, with patience you'll find one at a decent price. Great set though and won't disappoint.

  • @ComicToyReviews I am blissfully happy to say that I found a Long box color 4 set, and it's on the way. -Yes, the word is alot of the tube packaged singles coming from over seas are bootlegs, though they are good looking bootleg. I have read where the heads were wrong, the black detailing rubs off, Michelangelo's nunchuk chains are cheaper, & the green color is different. There are also B&W long box bootlegs where all the other stuff holds true plus the white is yellowish.

  • @inlife9 Awesome to hear. :-) Actually your last comment about white plastic fading over time to look yellow is very true. Glad I didn't buy the black and white set now, as that would happen to the real NECA versions as well at some point.

  • I hate these kinds of turtles there necks are long and there heads r big and why arnt there different color bands

  • @CRASYKID3066 Thanks for watching :-) The head bands are the same color cause that's how they originally looked in the early comic book issues. Also the style of these turtles with the head and neck is based on the early art of the comic book. These were very stylized versions of the turtles.

  • @inlife9 I ordered a set from overseas for some "color bandana" customs, and I also have the original release of these figures. Mine are identical, except the skin tone seems to be a bit lighter on the overseas set. All the articulation works, the plastic quality s the same, etc. The black on the bandanas did run a little, but I customized them so it didn't matter. I also have the original release of the B&W set, and the plastic is a little yellow on them, so all of them have the yellow issue.

  • @Virussduderule666 dude howd u break in that ab crunch??

  • @Virussduderule666 The artic is probably there then, must have not noticed it due to how the shell looks and all. :-)

  • @Virussduderule666 Thanks got to try that one leg pose :-)
