In the AVCHD folder there is a BDMV folder, and in there there is .MTS files which are the movies.
I do save the whole AVCHD folder in case I want to put movies back on the camera, but basically all the crap in there is just to index the movie in a bluray disc on an AVCHD compatible TV (I can play them on my TV using a SD card with that folder)
