Lakota Nation Secedes Due to New World Order (Part 3)

The Lakota Nation, Native American tribe secedes from the U.S Treaty binding the peoples, legally, under articles concluded over 150 years ago. The leader, Duane Martin Sr. Cites the New World Order as a determining factor behind uniting the tribes' resolve to dissolve the Treaty. And for good reason. The nation has had considerable trouble in keeping with the custom of being raped by the European powers and reduced their population by over 100 million, almost the greatest genocide in history, from the nation that proclaims to be the most just. The Lakota Model for succession is the same model that the states could use, not necessarily to succeed from the Union, but to regain state sovereignty and be free of federal jurisdiction. Until the people of a state do this they could not succeed from the Union.

I'm part native american mostly black, so I know what oppression is at the hands of the bloodiest nation in history. oh that's right, china killed about 60-75 million, russia 20-40 million, but the u.s. is the one who put leaders to both those nations in power. we also propped up their war machines for ww1 adn 2. didn't know that did you? the us has also killed 200 million blacks and native americans.

Why should they assimilate? The world is the way it is because people are weak and greedy. All of us once had a unique cultural background and history, but its all gone now. Replaced by a system of exploitation and domination. We have truly lost our identities and are lied to by a society trying enslave us from the second we are born. It didn't have to be this way, but people sold out each other for personal gain and they continue to do so.

I agree Chatsworth. I wonder though, if the Lakota have enough organization and cooperation amongst themselves to be effective. I say this because I've read that there is division within their ranks, disagreement about this cecession, saying that Russell Means and Duane Martin acted without the approval of the rest of the Lakota tribe. But this was stated by some woman who worked with them previously..so I don't know. I know that no one replies if you write to them through their website.

There is no shame in the crimes of your predecessors. There is only the continuous fight for cultural and physical sustainability.
