The roots of hip hop is about coming together, creating, and enjoying regardless of your hardships. We're beyond the roots though. We're staking a claim on what is legit. Everyone hates on the top40 mc's because they're preaching the wrong messages to our youth, our future. The roots are always there, but the analogy alone insinuates growth. It is the duty of every true head to guide those lost souls to something real and intelligent. Without true inspiration how will they go further?
