Ahoy! Pirated Games: Digital Monsters 3

For a bootlegged game, not too shabby, but it does carry plenty of flaws, but also some redeeming qualities.

Rookie Monsters
+ Decent Graphics
+ Decent Gameplay
+ Evolution System
+ 8 different starting digimon.

Ultimate Digimon (The one's that are basically glorified humans in armor.)
- The music is a dead give away it's a bootleg. (If the fact it's chinese didn't already give it away.)
- Questionable Evolution System.
- Why level up the old fashioned way when you start out with 396 bottles of Rare Candy Steroids that allow you to level up at least 3 Digimon to maximum.

Overall, not bad. Worth a try if you are into pirated games.

PS: I am NEVER uploading with FireFox ever again!

the music is awesome.

the evloutionary chain for most of the digimon were incomplete though.

@arcticjungle6 IMO: as long as no one turns into some lame human in armor passed off as a monster, then that's a good thing.

Note: Nothing against humans, in fact I'm personally against misanthropy, but when I play a game like Pokemon or stuff like that, I expect them to be monsters, and personally, humans are the last thing I think of when I hear the word "monster." Humans AND robots, actually. ...And to some extent, food and inanimate objects.

@MugoUrth Think is, digimon had personalities and intelligence and were pretty much just people with differant bodies

It really isn't thatg odd seeing them take human forms

While in Pokemon, where they're basically animals in intelligence levels, having a human form Pokemon would be very strange

Jinx and Mr Mime creeped people out enough as it is

I wish there was an english version of this game .. it's not fun to try any evolution and don't get what people are saying .. digimon became great because of it's plot .. if you don't get it, you'll be missing Alot

I got this game on the actual GBC long long ago, but I remember when I started there WASN'T loads of Rare Candies and Repels. So I think it was something that the person who created the ROM did.
