The Leica D-Lux 5 is a high-end bridge camera that sports most of the key manual features that keen photographers will be looking for. http://www.which.co.uk/cameras
- very useful. It can be set to zoom continuously or at set lengths which I prefer. The price paid was £599.99 from Jacobs Glasgow. If you find it too expensive you will get the same camera in the panasonic LX5
dennismv: well, tree is a very slight delay but nothing that bothers me with my photography. I have it set the zoom up to return to the last used setting i.e. 24mm and when I switch on the camera, it will automatically go to 24mm — very us full
how responsive is the zooming in and out? It seems like there is a slight lag between the time you press the zoom slider and when the lens actually moves.
Sorry, press send by mistakenbefore I had finished! Here's the rest of my comments... I've taken a few photographs at night and I am mightily impressed. I thought I would find this camera would be tricky to use due to not having a built in grip but so far it's not been a problem getting Lightroom 3 with it is a bonus too — try one, you'll not regret it
Read stevehuffs review as mentioned or look at his YouTube video too and search the phoblographer web site for their review too.

You don't get Adobe Lightroom 3 or the Leica warranty (2 year with 1 year accidental/faulty replacement) and the leica badge and look
