haha NO. and i do go to school every freaking day thank you. i don't like "mindless pop culture" and i HATE reality shows cuz they're fake. but i do watch stuff like hannah montana and stuff, i watch the science channel every now and then to so please for the love of the nation stop the stereotyping me. =] thank you and you stay well to (no sarcasm in that) haha

They're bombing the damn moon in the first place in order to get a better idea of how much water is on the moon using the spectral range from the impact to check. This isn't 'blowing it up', the moon's effing huge. They're seeing if it's feasible to put a lunar base up there, and if we can use water to fuel and supply the colony, as well as the general composition of the moon. Ice on the moon is only a fairly recent discovery, though we know Mars has had it for a few years.
