do u have any idea how much plastic u wasted? like 3feet by 6 feet for a phone!

The phone was used as a demonstration piece to show the students what the former could do. If you watch the flick till the end you'll also notice that the form wasn't cut out, the plastic was reused (the beauty of Thermoplastic!)
As for it being 6x3' I only wish I had a vac former that size! More like 300x200mm.
