State removes signs from all snowmobile trails

On December 1st of 2012 the Department of Natural Resources along with the Michigan Snowmobile Assocation removed many trail signs from state trails, that snowmobilers were used to seeing in the past.

The 90 degree turn sign is not large, it is smaller then chevron sign used before and its only one, beside after may first snowmobile trip to UP 75% of those "90 degree" curves ware not even signed with the new signs. I would not show my face on that video saying that it will help preserve the safety of the snowmobiles. Whoever got the idea like that probably never got his butt on the snowmobile. Shame on you DNR, and you still charge $45 per sled trail permit?

i understand trying to get people to pay more attention by removing the signs, but there are still goingto be people who are goingto be careless, or who are expecting to see the signs. this is the dumbest thing ive ever heard. why dont you try removing all the "bridge signs" off the road too, and while you are at it, why not remove all the "turn ahead" recomended speed signs from the road as well. lets just sit back at see what happens. this is nonsense.
