On Sunday 10th of July 2011 the Adelaide German Club was filled to the brim with hairdressers, hairspray and hot hair trends as the national International Hairdressing Society held their inaugural state competitions.
With her sharp skills and eye for fashion Alex Totani from Hair Machine Glenelg received the award for South Australian Junior Hairdresser of the Year, after receiving awards in a high number of competition categories.
Hair Machine stylists abroad received an array of awards from a selection of judged area's including Men's Catwalk, Ladies High Fashion Colour, Men's and Ladies cutting to Free Expression.
The teams from Hair Machine, Glenelg, North Adelaide and Unley all received a placing in the Open High Fashion Team awards.
Director of the Hair Machine brand, Nadia De Marco believes "hair fashion competitions are a chance for hairdressers to really feel a connection with the industry they work within and it gives them a chance to be inventive with hair and experiment with innovative and fashionable trends."
