It seems to me that if Israel want peace, they have to abide by international laws, or at least their own laws, or if not that, at least your own promises. If you can't do that, saying 'We can't be at peace because the Arabs don't want peace' is just childish.

@upsideadown Books; Rollins, Gibbon's Rome, Josephus. Jews had the power to take back their land from their enemy; American Indians do not. Land promised to Abraham and his seed through Isaac. America not promised to anyone. 1000's of rockets being fired at Israeli civilians is not a disregard for human rights? 850,000 Jews ethnically cleansed from Arab lands in 1948 - all now happily resettled. Arabs still in refugee camps & used as politically tool against Israel. U'r username is very apt!

If it is some ancient scribblings about thousands of years ago how Israel is the land of the Jews, then don't waste my time. By that grounds, America should be handed over to the American Indians. I am talking about this past century after the reinstatement of Israel 1948. I am talking about the blatant disregard for human life going on over there. I am talking about ethnic cleansing in modern times.

Excuse me! Israel/Palestine is the home of the Jewish people. They have had a continuous presence there since c1400 BC. Granted, many were exiled by the Romans but many remained so why should their ancestral homeland be usurped by Arabs?
