「生きることの喜び」を表現するブラジルのアートの「溢れ出る豊かな色彩」と「しなやかで有機的な形」。
60年代「熱帯に住む者の文化のオリジナリティ」をうたったトロピカリアという芸術運動での象徴的な作家であるエリオ・オイチシカをはじめ、27組のアーティスト、クリエ­イターの作品が一同に介して、東京都現代美術館の会場内に「ブラジルの創造力」が炸裂しました。
「圧倒的に自由な表現」「新鮮で鮮やかな色の体験」で私たちの五感を存分に楽しませる展示作品の数々。
いままで知られていなかった「ブラジルの魅力」の発見について東京都現代美術館のチーフ・キュレーター、長谷川祐子氏にインタビューいたしました。

"A rich color to overflow" and "form of the Brazilian art to express "the joy of living" organic in lissomeness."
Including Helio oiticica which was a symbolic writer by the art movement called the fatty tuna atomic bomb rear that declared "originality of the culture of the person who lived in the tropical zone" in 60's, 27 sets of artists, the work of the creator went to all members, and "Brazilian creativity" exploded in a meeting place of Tokyo Metropolis Museum of Contemporary Art.
The diversity of the exhibition work which fully pleases our five senses in the "overwhelmingly free expression" "experience of the fresh, bright color."
I interviewed chief curator of Tokyo Museum of Contemporary Art, Yuko Hasegawa about discovery of "the Brazilian charm" that was not known so far.
