I've gotten a lot of questions the last few days about how I'm getting my new digital camera to record directly from my PS3. This is a walkthrough I put together of all the parts I purchased and how they're connected together, so for all of you out there who have this camera, or were thinking about buying it, here's how I'm using mine.
The camera I purchased from Amazon.com for $120:

The cables and connectors I purchased from Monoprice.com:
High grade 3 foot composite cable ($1.86):

Premium RGB 6/u component video splitter ($8.10):

RGB coupler for component video extension ($0.57)

With shipping my total from Monoprice came to about $15.
If you're not looking for HD 720p video capture, this combination is an excellent way to capture TV/video signals, especially since it's portable (so you can visit a friend and use this on their setup just as easily as you can in your own home).
Can you use this method with a component av plug?

@Scsigs No. The Aiptek A-HD+ will only record 480i over composite.

I'm using an Xbox360, My yellow a/v cable is broken. Could I use the component cables instead of the usual red yellow and red cables?

@KenShadowDragon Devices that show "AV in" mean that they will accept an incoming signal. "AV out" means they will send a signal out. What form that signal takes depends on the plugs/cables/hardware you're using.

@KenShadowDragon You can't record from HDMI without using illegal hardware. The HDMI standard has anti-copying standards in place, and there are no legal devices that can easily record from HDMI (because companies would lose their license to use HDMI if they allowed it)

@LypticICE Yes.
