what the hell is the big deal of advanced technology in a strut bar? all I see is a piece of metal. can anyone explain?

@DrMu5tCh3at2W1n I would hope that there would be some sort of engineering behind the design of something like this. I guess anyone could build strut brace but in terms of having something that's safe and actually works I don't think it necessarily hurts to have some R&D behind it.

hi nice job ,just curious is there some sort of obstruction issues that ,mean one side of the mounting seem to mount differant from the other ,its a bit odd looking:)

@spinlessbastard1 I believe the end-plates are different because on the passenger side of the vehicle the ABS module is slightly in the way and the ground for the jump start terminal is also mounted on the strut tower. To give clearance for the above mentioned items I think they needed to have a different design for that particular end-plate. In all honesty it's not too noticeable once installed but I definitely noticed it when I opened the box.

i bolted a extra bolt on so it is a locking nut so it dont come loose

@DrMu5tCh3at2W1n you asked what at strut bar is it is a bar that crosses the engine and bolts on too the front suspension struts to save fuel and stiffen suspension.it helps cornering but can make the rear slide a bit but it is rare i hope this help

not many strut brace's made for the 540i

tons for M5 and tons for the i6's

@DrMu5tCh3at2W1n as long as it is well contructed and made of a good quality steel all strut bars work the same. The more expensive strut bars cost more just because they claim them to be better and look more "flashy". in reality a cheap strut bar will work just the same as a more expensive one.

@DrMu5tCh3at2W1n A strut bar is designed to reduce this strut tower flex by tying two parallel strut towers together. This transmits the load of each strut tower during cornering via tension and compression of the strut bar which shares the load between both towers and reduces chassis flex.
