This museum is both an historical landmark and a must-see exhibition. After the War of 1812 between Britain and the United States, the fort at Ile Ste. Hélène was built to properly defend Montréal in the event of a new conflict. Throughout the summer, authentic 18th-century military drills are performed and taught by the soldiers of La Compagnie franche de la Marine and the Olde 78th Fraser Highlanders.
