8-11-09. Rush Limbaugh takes a call from a man who thinks some (like Newt) are members of the Fig Newton wing of the Republican Party. Then Rush plays the parody "Old People" sung by Paul Schanklin (as Obama).

I have to laugh at people who think the Republican party is in shamlbes at the moment. Do you honestly think people all over the country are showing up at town hall meetings to yell at Republicans?

This health care issue is lambasting Democrats across the country and its got them running for cover! So badly they have to buss in Union goons and Acorn people from out of state to attempt to counter it.

No doubt the Democrats are self-destructuing and will most likely lose in 2010. But there is no Republican resurgance. Most of the party are still left leaning Democrat-lites. People will only vote for Republicans because they are not the Democrats. Bush ruined the conservative movement. If there is a conservative resurgence it will be because of the people taking the country back, not the Republicans.

Obama and Pelosi are overreaching now, Just like Bush and his neo-cons did in 2001-2006.

Clinton AND BUSH were progressives so that doesn't make you independent just uniformed to what a political position is without a common label. I would count you in the 80 million people who hate Rush having only listened to snippets. I watch Obama's speeches in full and listen to rush on the commercial free podcast so which one of us do you think is capable of being independent their decisions
