Wow thanks! That looks delicious! I've made this once for my boyfriend,he loved it, but requested it without the skin for this time. :( I sure hope it will turn out ok. I've tried to coat it w/ tempura mix to give it texture, but I think it changed the whole dish.

Does it work if I peel the shrimp before coating it in flour? Or will the shrimp become dry when frying?

i usually don't like making this dish without the shell only because i think the shell acts as a protective shield to keep the shrimp more moist and more flavor. But by all means cook how ever and with whatever you like. if not using the shell I would personally coat the shrimp with flour because the flour will then act as the new shell, besides the flour will make the shrimp nice and crispy. hope this helps

Hey matthew I was wondering can u use canola oil instead of corn oil or vegetable oil or will canola oil be to heavy

@2279731 Hi, Yes u can use canola oil. You can use any oils with a high smoke point. NEVER use Olive oil to stir fry. Thanks for watching!

@TheMatthewTsui I only use olive oil to cook with. Why can't I use it.Other oils upset my stomach.

olive oil is not a good oil for deep frying or any kind of frying. it is not light enough. you should use a light oil such as canola or corn oil,. it has a high burn point.
