This secluded retreat rests at the foot of our private 16 acre wooded, mountainside property. The owners have seen to every detail to ensure that guests are always comfortable when they visit this vacation home.

With soaring cathedral ceilings, floor to ceiling tongue and groove, oversized leather and suede furniture, and a designer décor, this mountain retreat will envelop you in rustic, luxurious comfort.

This brand new home has two king master suites. Luxury linens on king sized, pillow top mattresses, large closets, ceiling fans and Italian tile are just a few of the amenities in both of the king suites.

A large additional bedroom on the 1st floor will accommodate up to 4 in twin beds, with an additional full bathroom. In all, the house will comfortably sleep 10 people, with a queen sized sleeper/sofa.

The chef's kitchen is fully stocked with all the modern conveniences, stainless steel appliances, and a large pantry for all of the incredible local fare. There's dining for 10 inside, or an outdoor grilling (gas grill) and picnic deck adjoining the kitchen for additional outside dining.

This mountain retreat feels miles away from everything, but is actually located just 10 minutes north of Boone and ASU. It is less than 25 minutes away from Blowing Rock, 30 minutes from 3 major ski resorts, 2 well-known golf courses, Tweetsie Railroad, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and the main entrance to Grandfather Mountain, and Linville Falls.

When you're done exploring the area, pour yourself something refreshing, and enjoy a beautiful sunset from one of the many comfortable rocking chairs on the front deck. As you listen to the soothing sound of Howards Creek, you will rock your cares away. Later, socialize in the outdoor living room next to the 80-jet hot tub under the covered deck, or the lower, more private deck with the old-fashioned porch swing. The view is stunning all year long, and there is abundant wildlife that may happen by.

If you prefer to be indoors, the 1st floor recreation room has a large screen HDTV, theatre surround sound, and stereo with iPod connection, an extensive library of DVDs, PlayStation 2 video games (including Rock Band), a professional bumper pool table, dartboard, and numerous board and card games for your entertainment pleasure. There is wireless, high-speed internet and a flat screen television with built-in DVD in every bedroom, along with a wide variety of books that you can borrow during your stay and enjoy in the private reading nook in the loft.

There is a stone fireplace upstairs and a gas stove downstairs to keep the cabin warm and cozy on breathtaking mountain evenings. There is a large mudroom entry on the main floor, with plenty of room to remove and store your gear and outerwear, and a full size laundry room downstairs.

The property sits at an elevation of 3700 ft, and is secluded and full of wildlife and beautiful flora. Just step outside onto any of the spacious decks, and let go of the rest of the world.

The home is wheelchair accessible. No smoking. Well behaved dogs under 50 lbs are ok.
