As usual they forget that there are characters OTHER then Supes that can kick ass. Just as with Captain Marvel, a real fight against superman would not be this one sided.

Though why Atom uses red sun instead of the krytonite radiation that he could use is beyond me.

OH wait! I know why! Because DC refuses to let their boring boy scout poster boy be made to look less then a god.

Superman is stronger and faster than Atom too.

Superman gets very few actual good fights in animated media anymore, and was made to look bad in almost all the DC Animated movies, so i really don't get what your point is...

In reality Superman can easily flatten capt. atom. He just almost always holds back, which was the case here. He didn't REALLY want to hurt him, so that's why it looked like he wasn't really trying that hard.

gotta feel bad for captain atom. he fought so hard and at first was putting up a good fight but superman was unphased and looked like he didnt fight at all

@Afroman1837 Well maybe not THE superman, but he created an entirely new planet (universe?) with a thought that had superman in it (and all the other super powered guys) just by thinking about it and destroyed it just as easily. That's all I meant.

@Ruach I wouldnt bring up comic book versions if I were you. In comics, superman is moving mutiple planets at once, and outrunning black holes. You shuld be happy that this isnt that version, otherwise this fight wouldve been even more one-sided. and im not sure why your saying captain atom has killed superman, theres really only one person in DC who can say that, and its not him. Superman owned captain atom in this fight easily.

@BigAlexRocks no, that really only happens if there is an actual red sun present. superman once again proves that just being able to produce radiation from a red sun isnt good enough. Second, supermans speed and strength are greater than captain atoms, that should be clear. He is the strongest hero in DC, and his speed is only second to the flash. this fight is a great example of how superman holds back alot, thats the only reason this fight was as long as it was.

Wait, how does Captain Atom lose this? First off, when using Red Sun radiation, shouldn't Sups B incapable of flight or his super strength and speed. Secondly how is he losing this? His speed and strength match Sups, and he has powers that make him superior 2Sups. I don't read DC alot, but I think Monarch should've been able 2put Sups down w/o even having 2use excessive force.

Captain Atom can destroy Superman with a thought, and he has done it. Though that's the comic book version of Captain Atom, his version is significantly weaker. That is where the confusion lies. The original captain atom has no "containment suit" and has powers more related to those of Dr. Manhattan, he created an entire universe with at thought and just as easily destroyed it. You think Superman holds back? Atom is a physical God.

Captain Atom didn't have a prayer here. He looks so beaten up while Superman's costume isn't even wrecked. And this is coming from someone who loves to see Superman get his ass handed to him.
