Mockers repeat the same phrase 5 or more times in their song repitoire. It is not a mockingbird. Whatever it is it's an alternate song. The first note begins like White-throated Sparrow but the other three notes are reminiscent of Tufted Titmouse (or Olive Warbler which is not found anywhere near NY).

Mock-yeah-ing-yeah-bird-yeah.
Seriously, that's what it is. Those fuckers never shut up. I have one that nests in a tree outside my bedroom every goddamn year and he's up at all hours of the night fucking chattering away. I want to shoot it.

It's a short clip, but it almost sounds like a mockingbird. Is there more to the song?

sounds like a nighthawk or whip-poor-will

I think it could be a new type of bird

Whatever it is, it's back again this year. Started hearing the call again right at the end of April.
