What Is This Bird?

I hear this bird all the time, day and night and on most rainy nights. It seems to be mostly nocturnal, but can be heard in the afternoon to mid-day as well. However, I don't hear it every day. Maybe 2-3 times a week. No matter how close I think I am to it, I can never see it or seem to get close to it. This is a bird I have never heard around my neighborhood before. I have asked avid bird watchers for help but they were completely stumped. I am from Central New York if that helps any with habitat or migrational patterns? Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

Whatever it is, it's back again this year. Started hearing the call again right at the end of April.

Mockers repeat the same phrase 5 or more times in their song repitoire. It is not a mockingbird. Whatever it is it's an alternate song. The first note begins like White-throated Sparrow but the other three notes are reminiscent of Tufted Titmouse (or Olive Warbler which is not found anywhere near NY).

Seriously, that's what it is. Those fuckers never shut up. I have one that nests in a tree outside my bedroom every goddamn year and he's up at all hours of the night fucking chattering away. I want to shoot it.
