When Christian Schallert isn't cooking, dressing, sleeping or eating, his 24 square meter (258 square feet) apartment looks like an empty cube. To use a piece of furniture, he has to build it.

Located in Barcelona's hip Born district, the tiny apartment is a remodeled pigeon loft. Christian says its design was inspired by the space-saving furniture aboard boats, as well as the clean lines of a small Japanese home.

I live in Japan and I am from Brazil and he is right in Japan we sometimes live is smaller apartments here and people live well here maybe not a perfect place for those who likes ruge places and lots of comfortable but it’s all depend on what you want that’s all. Japanese lifestyle is simple and they don’t need much or lots stuff to live a comfortable life this I respect and admire about Japanese people.

RIDÍCULO Y ESTÚPIDO ES HACER PROPAGANDA A ESTOS ESPACIOS PEQUEÑÍSIMOS, PUES SI UNA PERSONA TIENE EN SUFICIENTE PRESUPUESTO PARA AMUEBLAR UN MINI APARTAMENTO CON TODOS ESTOS COMPARTIMENTOS DE PUERTAS DE MADERA Y MUCHOS ACCESORIOS ETC ETC, ENTONCES TIENE SUFICIENTE PRESUPUESTO PARA ADQUIRIR MEJOR UN DEPARTAMENTO DECENTE CON EL TRIPLE DE ESPACIO.

Does anyone know if there's a company especialized with that and how much it costs?

    Thanks! (:

This all seems practical except I think that the shower and the bathroom should have been right next to each other and swap places. Make the shower (inside the wall) accessible by walking into the bathroom, and have the bathroom covered with the same wood paneling.

This way, there's more space next to the door, the bathroom is still private, and people can shower without having to kick everyone else out of the room.

Another option would be to leave it as is but have the shower with fogged glass.

You're so talented! I'm so impressed with your living space. Does it have a shower or bath? I don't remember seeing either.
