I've had this V.2 Valve Junior Combo sitting around collecting dust, it was always too loud for bedroom play (what I bought it for) and after seeing how little they turn around for on eBay, I decided to make it something I can crank in the bedroom without rattling walls. Output section changed to an ECL80. Three gain stages, 2x 12AX7, 1x 6SN7 for about 220 mu of total gain, the other half of the 6SN7 pushes a Princeton-style tone control with a cathode follower, and the triode section of the ECL80 is a tone recovery stage/master volume. OT is a Weber WSE15, which is well overkill for an ECL80 but produces a nice round bass. Speaker is an 8" alnico "Golden Throat" speaker from a 1952 RCA All American Five radio. Total output is about 1.2 watts which is perfect for cranking indoors.
Nice playing man :)
