Poor Apologetics 3: God is Just

I appreciate what you're trying to do with your videos, and it seems you're trying to be calm and fair. But I'm afraid your theology is very basic and grossly oversimplified. True conversion cannot happen casually, and this deathbed scenario you mention is no sure thing. I don't blame you, many churchgoers themselves are deceived. American Christianity is largely a hoax, a watered-down gospel, almost unrecognizable from its true form.

@pcgamerjoe If you don't care to look it up, it says to work out your salvation with "fear and trembling." It doesn't say, "Hey, if you have a feel-good moment of emotion, you're set!"
There's so much more I could say, but YT comments really are the worst way to talk about religion. I've been studying the Bible for years and I still have huge lightbulb moments. It's really much deeper than you give it credit for, but I guess it's easier to assume we're all mindless idiots.

@VanDammesCokeDealer I normally don't respond to things like this because it's impossible to convince anyone who is set in his ways, but I'll just briefly address what's wrong with your statement.
First of all, I'm assuming you're deeply experienced and well-versed in the Bible and not just a casual reader? If not, then you have no basis for "knowing" anything about true Christianity. I don't have a lot of space here in YT, but I'll just give you one verse for now: Philippians 2:12.

@Criffler Paul was the first in a long line of apologists who just make shit up. Jesus says right there in your Bible that he came to uphold the Jewish law when directly asked about it; it's as clear and un-ambiguous as any text could possibly be. So Paul just ignores it and comes up with the "new covenant" idea which is basically "Christianity According to Paul: My Additions, Subtractions and Putting of Women into Their Place." He was basically the Joseph Smith of the 1st century.

@pcgamerjoe You can declare ridiculous absolutes like "true conversion cannot happen casually" all you want, but who made you the arbiter of what constitutes a "true" or "false" conversion? Just you and God, right? That's simply an easy-out Christians use when they're confronted with someone who's freed themselves of the mind-numbing retardation of religion. "Well, he never truly believed!" just protects Christians from having to honestly examine the reasons because they're intellectual cowards.

Please, don't make any more of these videos, or if you do learn what it is you are railing against. I would never defend the thing you are battling because it is not Christianity.

I appreciate how calm you delivered this video, but you do not have all the facts straight. God is just but He is also merciful. God condemns us all to hell except His son died for us. He is giving us a free gift and all we have to do is except it. Also, church is not part of salvation. Church is just for spiritual growth and communion with other believers.

God is about as just, as the worst tyrant on earth. Think about it !! Aertly tyrants kill their opponents, and that is the end. But this LOVINg heavenly father tortures FOR ALL ETERNITY, not only his opponents, but even those who happen to not-believe in him.

its not that if your a christian even in the bible it says not everyone who calls on the lord will be saved there are christians who are going to hell and your talking about fairness this unfortuanatly is another bad video

I think that you are making huge assumptions about God. Christianity is not the only means of worshipping God. There are many theists who don't believe in the Christian concept of heaven and hell. Not just adherents to other religions, but theists like myself. To me heaven and hell are not places, but rather states of consciousness. To be in hell is to experience the absence of God in your life. You seem hung up on the concept of heaven and hell. They are not necessary to some theists.

@gsco82 I understand that the versions of Heaven/Hell expressed in this video do not necessarily apply to ALL theists. Theists are unable to agree with each other about what Heaven/Hell is - so all I can do is address the most commonly held beliefs. (Of course, if any Christians could prove the existence of their version, it would make it much easier to discuss.)
However, I think this question is valid regardless of most specifics you apply to Hell itself.
