Two things look exactly the same. The Varsity and MARTA. I don't know how to feel about that.

This place is too damn crowded now...and kind of boring compared to what I've heard it was like.

Yeah baby! The Strip, The Fabulous Fox, Alex Coolies Electric Ballroom, The Great Southeastern Music Hall with the famous “Buckets of Beer”, Concerts at Piedmont, hanging at the “River” and OMG all the Hippie Chicks! Hotlanta in its prime and I was there!

@joltinjack --.....HELL!!! Where are the da black folks?? According to this montage-they didn't exist(not even on the wide angle shots). LOL What??...they didn't show up until the 80s? Or they ended up on the cutting room floor? This montage looks like that show 'Friends'!! Not a black face ANYHERE!! lol...not even Hank Aaron?? This is not a greivance..just an observation. : )

Amazing to see the city before Bank of America Plaza (1992). Polaris was one of the tallest buildings, and the Westin Peachtree Plaza was the tallest hotel in the WORLD when it was built in the 1970's! Unreal!
