try reducing the sugar content. shiney means too much usually...molasses is made from cane sugar so the reduction shouldnt change the flavour.....try reducing by half a cup and see what happens....i did this and it worked..
I think I had the same problem as Pat...my cookies come out "shiny" on top and don't "crack" the way these did. I have literally tried three recipes and ALL of them come out shiny and crackless. The batch I just made....literally 10 minutes ago...came out the same way, but they are better than the last batch that were almost a sand color (but still shiny!). Does anyone know where to get a "brand name" molasses, or know what I'm doing wrong?
Seven stars, perfect.
