1968 I just turned 14 years old and my younger 8 year brother watched this show on TV Saturday mornings. It reminded me of the Monkees TV series.

Just a different take on the visuals of the day. By that time, every ad agency, and studio had a good grasp on what made up the pop culture, and it was a lot easier to to create for the youth, because childhood hadn't been chopped up demographically yet. Kids could be into what the teens were, and some teens were digging on the stuff like this show, without too much hassle. There was no "Magic Age" where things became suddenly verboten (well, not as harshly as now) because you got so old.
