  • i am planning to apply to air canada...i heared they are a good airline to work for...anyone have any opinions on them? or are they pretty much all the same.

  • This is awful! A 9 hour layover is a total joke! Luckily, I have never had to endure this. Our layovers are minimum 12 hours, and that can be tough so I cannot even imagine a 9 hour layover! It is so true that being fatigued compromises your ability to be alert and safety conscious. You work so hard, you deserve more.

ALL AMERICAN EMPLOYEES - STAND TOGETHER, BE FIRM AND FIGHT FOR WHATS YOURS!

  • hey!! there at washington DC airport

  • being a flight attendant this is so true. how many nights i've had only 4 hrs and continued 4 more nights like this. my company has forced us to work up to and over 16 hours. it is tiring and unappreciated

  • you guys are AMAZING! Fight and fight for your rights or I'd never feel safe being on a plane! Thanks to you all.

  • Everything said here is right on the money. When we have a 9 hr layover after a 12-14 hr duty day - (and yes, folks this is the norm rather than just happening once in a while) this doesn't mean we get to sleep 9 hours. This means we land, get to the gate, we wait for you to get off the plane, wait and wait for the hotel van, finally get to the hotel, check into our rooms, unpack - wash our faces, get to bed, then get to the aiport one hr prior to dept - do the math. We sleep 4-5 hrs per night.

  • The next time you here an F/A say "Were here primarily for your safety" it doesn't mean there lazy it means they have more important things to worry about than getting you your can of coke.

  • AA could care less about its flight attendants. IF IT WAS REALLY UP TO THEM and not the FAA, they would all be paid minimum wage, made to layover onboard the plane and not a hotel, deprive them of food and have them fly a minimum of 150 hours a month. Then all flight attendants would be recruited from the border crossing dessert near Mexico.
