Pc has become universally adopted as meaning an ibm or clone. The commodore 64 was the greatest home computer to come out of the 80s and mostly that was because of its games.

It's odd that so many people share fond memories of this game especially when considering its history. Many people say that this game and E.T for the Atari 2600 are directly responsible for the Video Game Crash of 1983. The game that was released was actually a prototype of the final product given to Atari while still in development, and Atari, to beat the Christmas rush, decided to produce the game as-is, making 2 million more cartridges than there were consoles sold at the time.

Everybody talks about susposed video game system crash of 1983 but for 2 years people just moved on to home computers like the atari 800 and the commodore 64 and what do you think they did on them? I played et when I was 8 and we had great fun playing and beating it. I don't know who labeled it one of the worst games of all time it wasnt my brothers or I. How many good movie based games are there?

I am fully aware that consumers went to home computers during the time, as it was considered a better investment when considering all the other things that a PC offered. ET was not a full game and was considered a failure even by those that made it. It was given 6 weeks to complete a game from concept to store shelves, so it was far too rushed to be a fully enriched experience. Games like this and Pacman for the 2600 stand as monuments to the loss of trust that consumers had for videogames.

What did you think those were? Home Computers or Personal Computers. Please don't try to act like I don't know what I am talking about.
