AllotropiaMovement Dance Theatre presents:
'EAT YOUR POEM, EXPERIENCE MOVEMENT' performance 18th December 2010, 7.30pm at:
Chisenhale Dance Space
64-84 Chisenhale Road
London
E3 5QZ

It's the celebration of fusion of two dance theatre companies: Nyctolopic and Jawaf Dance Theatre. The artistic Directors of these companies come from independent dance backgrounds, and they merge into unique physical movement stage expression.
AllotropiaMovement has organised beside other physical artists one night platform to bring different flavour to performing arts.

Program:
'Deipnon and symposion for Apolonius and Dionisus
Choreography and Performance : Nicole Marchanti
This is an invitation to the audience to become part of an ancient greek ritual divided by :
Deipnon (meal)
Symposion (communal drinking)
In order to correct any existing imbalance in the system as well as integrate food as an aesthetic phenomenon through the fusion of Dionysian and Apollonian elements.

'Deported' Nyctolopic
Choreography and Performance : Ana Marambio
The emigrant spreads the wings getting ready to cross the line that divides countries... It does not matter where you are if you can call it home, but when you are an alien, there are corners that are banned for you. The push, the push, the immigrant pushes to keep flying, to keep building. The push, the push, the system pushes you back out across the line, and gives the kick that blows you away... Where? -- Where there are no memories, there is no home.

'Myself in the salad' Dodgy Whiskers
Tick Bike, Voice: Alice Allard
Juggling, Ukulele: Daniel Rejano
Movment, Bass: Max Calaf

"...fear holds in front of you, fears that hold so still, you can study them like pieces on a chessboard..." Charles Bukowski.

'Nightmares'
Choreography and Performance: Shan Fish
'Nightmare' is my response to the story "All at One Point" in which Calvino describes all matter existed in a single point before our invention of time and space. In my version, white noise from the radio implies the constant interruption of a social system which shapes our lives, through the conceptual grids of time and space, into chains of meaningless instants to which the sleeper reacts spasmodically.'

'The repertoire' Las Chicas Production
Choreography and Performance: Debora Bonemei, Joanna Puchala
A display of LCP dance theatre's identity in a pitch of previous dance projects recollection.
The quality of movement presented, embraces flow and release style, flavoured with body weight exploration.

'Aldente'
Choreography and Performance: Justyna Sochaj, Ayaka Furukawa
"Aldente" - movement images developed from the music; Al Di Meola's Sarabande from Violin Sonata in B Minor (version of famous Bach Sarabande) and "Love Theme From Picture Of The Sea".
It's an investigation into the location of movement, articulation and expression of the different dance qualities. An exploration of abstract wire of thoughts and feelings, moods and their impact on the movement. 'We draw an impression of the inside of our body, how it feels when it moves and add the element of surprise.
By continually questioning our work (What can I see?, It is too long, slow, fast? Time for change?, What is missing?) We managed very clearly to reflect on our self-portraits however at the end it left us with the feelings of uncertainty.'

'I would that your dark eyes were upon me'
Choreography and Performance: Elina Akhmetova
Performace: Kyounghee An, Hadleigh Harrison
An intense piece of Physical Theatre for Three, Using 3 people and 8 chairs, and the soundtrack of a heartbeat. One Man and Two Women. See the Man being carried upside-down, The Woman Flying, And a Human "Troll" taking shape...

'The imaginary...' AllotropiaMovement
Choreography and Performance: Ana Marambio, Joanna Puchala
Inspired by Chilean poet Nicanor Parra (El Hombre Imaginario)
The piece intends to travel in the spiral of energy emanating from poem and dives into texture of an untouched world created by and for ourselves, giving us shelter from solitude and pain. This imaginary world creates the beauty we are looking for in the nature that surrounds us.. El hombre imaginario vive en una mansion imaginaria, rodeada de arboles imaginarios...(The imaginary man lives in an imaginary mansion surrounded by imaginary trees...)

As we are running this event without any other financial support but ourselves we would be very thankful for any kind of support you can offer towards our expenses. Our suggestion is 5£ donation at the entrance. However please feel free to come without any restriction. We are grateful to share our work with you.

We are grateful to all of you who supported this project: Artists, family, friends
And also facilitated us with rehearsal's space: Goldsmith's Pulse Gym
