Plant-for-the-Planet - a short introduction

This is a short introduction of our Project, Plant-for-the-Planet:

Plant-for-the-Planet is an initiative that fosters childrens participation and children leadership. Plant-
for-the-Planet wants to support and motivate children across the world in order to shape their future.
As a tool for this goal, we will develop a Global Childrens Participation Platform; as a symbol for
childrens participation, we use trees that are planted by children. These tree plantings are in close
cooperation with the UNEP-Billion-Tree-Campaign.

By participating in global matters, children from around the world demonstrate that they want and need
to be included in decisions that affect their future. Planting trees is one expression of that need.
