  • @jpev94b "...so always going up or down. It's hard to have a high average speed and um...what was the last one? I try to maintain between 80 and 90 cadence throughout all my rides."

  • @jpev94b "Craig from Alberta, Canada asked how my training rides, what kind of speeds do I average, and what kind of distance do I ride, and what kind of cadence do I try to maintain on my rides. Really just depends. If I'm on an easy day I'll do two hours and, uh, at 30k an hour...ummm...on my lond days I'll do 6 hours...um...probably, also up to 30k an hour but I'd do a lot more climbing. There's really no flat roads here in Louisville (?), so always going up or down..

  • please!! any can write this. he speaks fast and i dont understand. only his training. thanks!!!!!!

  • I am sorry, I didn't mean to say Hincapie is slow. He is World Class of course. I just meant riding alone all my life I figured I was slow.

I am not... But it's not always about the man who is fast, but that man that last. I found that out on the Swamp Rabbit Trail with Hincapie a few times.

We are lucky to have both Hincapie and the Swamp Rabbit Trail in Greenville

  • @RentAManSC its all about base training, bud. Sorry to pop your bubble.

  • I do about 30 k/hr but it's mostly flat here in Gainesville FL. I'll maintain it up the hills here, but I'm pooped by the top and have to coast a little to recover.

  • @vre13 He's not kidding about Greenville not having any flat roads. 30 k/hr around Greenville is really really tough.

  • @vre13 nah, 30 is around where they keep themselves on a easy ride. They want to be on zone 1 on heartrate. Going only up to 32-33 would make most bring up their hbpm even tho being pro.

  • 30kph on a two hour ride? Come on, I think he goes faster than that even it is easy.

  • Big George!!!! Man that was freakin cool!!!!
